Every weekend that South Carolina plays, its hard not to be impressed with the direction that Shane Beamer has his team heading in. This team could have beaten LSU and Alabama and would've had one of the best resumes in College Football if they executed better. This weekend, the Gamecocks defense smothered Oklahoma's offense and if the offense didn't score a point Carolina still would have won this game with ease. The Gamecocks' still have a chance to knock off three ranked opponents and if they run the table they'd be a fascinating conversation for the Playoff.

The Ole Miss Rebels were on the bye this weekend and it was perfectly timed after losing to LSU last weekend. The Rebels have no wiggle room if they want to make the Playoff especially as both losses came in SEC play but, the Rebels get two easier games against Oklahoma and Arkansas before a massive game against Ole Miss.

The Crimson Tide knocked off the Georgia Bulldogs and we all thought it was business as usual in Tuscaloosa. Ever since the first half of that Georgia game, things have gone downhill as Alabama has lost to Vanderbilt and Tennessee while they should've lost to South Carolina. Kalen DeBoer was given a ton of credit for his offense at Washington but, at Alabama, this unit has struggled with a higher class of talent. This team still has games against Missouri, LSU, and Auburn left which means the Tide could be in serious trouble.

While the Texas A&M Aggies let Mississippi State hang around in the first half, the second half was a better showing as the Aggies won by ten. We don't learn a ton about Texas A&M as they beat the Bulldogs but, they needed to win and they handled business. Next weekend is the big test for the Aggies as they'll take on LSU where the winner will be right in the mix for the College Football Playoff.
