Every year we get excited for College Football's Rivalry Weekend and often times it ends up being a let down. This year, we got one of the most hectic Rivalry Weekends ever as we got some shocking losses and a ton of bad blood spilling onto the field. This weekend your program either picked up a massive win or you lost in horrific fashion and most likely got a flag planted on your field. As Rivalry Weekend is officially in the books, here are the biggest winners and losers of the Weekend.

Winner - Michigan

This season has been an outright disaster for the Wolverines in their National Title defense but, winning one game changes the entire outlook on the season. The Wolverines rolled into Columbus with what everyone viewed as a far inferior team and won the game for the fourth straight season,

The Wolverines were able to slow Ohio State's high powered passing attack without likely first round pick cornerback Will Johnson. They were able to score enough points to win this game without leading receiver tight end Colston Loveland. This game is a massive boost for Michigan under Sherrone Moore and when paired with the momentum from flipping Bryce Underwood this game will work wonders for Michigan on the recruiting trail.

Loser - Ohio State

This offseason all the talk was about how Ohio State paid $20 Million dollars on this roster after the Michigan Wolverines won for the third straight season and took home the National Championship. All of that money couldn't buy Ohio State a win over Michigan as the Buckeyes once again lost to their bitter rival.

One move the Buckeyes made was pushing out quarterback Kyle McCord turning to Kansas State's Will Howard at Quarterback. Howard went 19 of 33 passing for 175 yards throwing just one touchdown with two interceptions.

The Buckeyes will now miss out on the Big Ten Championship game once again but, they'll likely make it into the College Football Playoff. The thing for the Buckeyes is that they've once again got dominated in the trenches and lost to a team missing its two best players. It doesn't matter that the Buckeyes have a stable of weapons on offense as every year they roll into this game and get punched in the teeth.

The phrase being uttered in Columbus, Ohio is that Ryan Day is John Cooper who suffered loss after loss against Michigan during the 1990's as both have a clear Michigan problem as Day has lost the last four editions of "The Game".
