The LSU Football team is currently beating the Arkansas Razorbacks in part due to the solid play from the defense. The unit may be shorthanded for the rest of the night as defensive back Sage Ryan was injured on a massive hit. Ryan laid a massive hit on an Arkansas wide receiver which was reviewed for targeting but, it was ruled that Ryan didn't commit the foul.

After the play, however, Ryan got up then quickly went down with an injury getting attention from LSU's training staff. Sage Ryan limped off the field and onto the sideline where he entered the injury tent.

If Ryan can't return to this game, LSU does have a few different options they can turn to at safety to replace him. One of LSU's backups with starting experience Jordan Allen didn't make the trip so he won't be an option for Blake Baker.

DaShawn Spears will likely be the first player to get a shot at replacing Ryan as he has spent a ton of time at safety this season. The Tigers also have the option of dropping Major Burns back in the defense as he has the most experience at safety. We'll see if Ryan rejoins the team following halftime but, Ryan looked like he was in a ton of pain after the play.

LSU currently leads Arkansas 16 - 7 at the Half.
