We're more than halfway through the Month of February, and as March is right around the corner, the SEC race is coming down to a handful of teams. This week saw Alabama and Auburn faceoff as the two top teams in America along with several other rivalry games which gave us an incredible weekend of basketball. As we approach the finish line of the SEC Basketball season, here is how we Power Rank the teams in the SEC.
10-15 (0-12). Last Week: 16. . 16. . Caroliner. . . . 533
It was another week for the Gamecocks where South Carolina lost two games continuing their terrible SEC Basketball season. This week saw South Carolina fight back to take a lead late against Ole Miss before losing down the final stretch before getting demolished against Florida. The Gamecocks will have their best chance at a win this week against LSU but, the Tigers will have positive momentum.
. 464. OUSooners. . . . 16-9 (3-9). Last Week: 14. . 15
The Oklahoma Sooners continue their free fall down the SEC but, this week was far and away the worst week yet. The week started with Oklahoma losing by 24 to Missouri and ended with the Sooners blowing a five point lead with 25 seconds to go by fouling a three point shooter before turning over the ensuing inbounds pass allowing Cam Carter to beat them again. Porter Moser has yet to have a winning season In Conference play and now fans are starting to ask for a change in leadership.

After another loss this time to Arkansas, things looked to be only getting worse for the LSU Basketball team as they trailed by 5 with 25 seconds to play. Then Cam Carter took over scoring 7 points converting two And-One's taking LSU from the lowest of lows to a win. The Tigers have finally snapped their losing streak and now they'll look to build a winning streak when they face off against South Carolina.

This week, the Georgia Bulldogs continued their slide in SEC Play as they dropped games to Texas A&M and Missouri by a combined 29 points. As Georgia continues to drop Conference Games, the Bulldogs go from firmly in the NCAA Tournament toward heading in toward the bubble. Mike White needs to get his team back on track and a win over Auburn or Florida this week would be the fix.

Early on in the week, the Razorback avenged one of their losses beating LSU but, they ended the week losing to Texas A&M. Following the loss to Texas A&M, John Calipari ruffled some feathers by calling his team "A little fragile". The team will now either rally following being called out or it could implode which makes this week an important week to watch.
John Calipari was NOT pleased postgame:

Earlier in the Week, Texas got blown out by Alabama which isn't a bad loss but, the Longhorns ended the week on a high note beating Kentucky. Tre Johnson was incredible against Kentucky scoring 32 points and he continues to define Texas' ceiling. The rest of the way, the Longhorns have three highly winnable games against Arkansas, Georgia, and Oklahoma along with a matchup against Mississippi State which will help Texas in climbing back up the standings.

This week was a tough week for Vanderbilt as the Commodores lost twice however, the two losses came against Auburn and Tennessee two of the top 5 teams in the Country. Vanderbilt didn't get blown out in either game which shows they can hang with any team in the Country.
Last Week: 8. 9. . 528. . . . 17-8 (6-6). UKy.
While Kentucky was able to pick up a massive win during the week knocking off Tennessee, they followed it up with a horrible loss to Texas. The Wildcats 6-6 record in Conference play reflects how their season has been as any time they build momentum they turn around and lose a game they had no business losing.
. 19-7 (8-5). . . . 8. Last Week: 6. 532. OMR.
This week Ole Miss handled business knocking off South Carolina but, they then followed that up by losing by ten to Mississippi State. The Rebels have done really well at winning the games they're supposed to but, they haven't been able to get the results they needed against the Top 25 opponents. Three Top 5 opponents linger for the Rebels and while Chris Beard has done a great job, the Rebels need to pick up a win in one of those games.
. 7. . Last Week: 9. . . 530. HailState. 18-7 (6-6).
Early on in the week, the Mississippi State Bulldogs lost to the Florida Gators but, all will be forgotten as they beat their In-State rival Ole Miss Rebels. Heading into the week, the goal for Mississippi State was to pick up one win and they did just that adding a massive win to their resume. Four of the Final Six games for Mississippi State are against unranked opponents which should allow the Bulldogs to finish with an impressive record.
. Last Week: 7. . 531. . 19-6 (8-4). 6. . Mizzy.
This week Missouri bounced back from back to back losses with back to back wins over Oklahoma and Georgia. The Tigers continue to pick up wins in the most difficult conference in the Country and they're doing so with a well balanced offense. Four of the Tigers final six games are against unranked opponents which give them a great chance at earning a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.
. Last Week: 4. UTee. . 21-5 (8-5). 534. . . . 5
This week was a shaky week for the Tennessee Volunteers as they lost to Kentucky but, they knocked off the Vanderbilt Commodores. Tennessee has the talent when right to beat any team in the Country but, when they have an off night on offense its hard to overcome. Tennessee has been one of the best teams in the Country the entire season but, the fact they've lost five games is tough to evaluate.
. 20-5 (9-3). . . Last Week: 5. 535. TAMUags. . 4.
While the teams at the top of the SEC are getting the most attention, the Texas A&M Aggies are quietly the hottest team in the SEC. The Aggies are on a five game winning streak picking up two wins this week over Georgia and Arkansas. While everyone in the Conference pushes for high scoring offenses, Texas A&M's commitment to defense gives them a chance in every game they play and will make a difference in March.

This week the Florida Gators added another impressive win beating Mississippi State by 13 points and they also demolished South Carolina. The story of the week won't be Florida getting two wins but, it'll be Micah Handlogten returning nearly a year after breaking his leg. If the Gators can get Handlogten back to form, the Gators are getting a massive presence back on the interior.

While Alabama crushed the Texas Longhorns earlier in the week, the Crimson Tide will be upset over their loss to Auburn until the two face off again. The Tide shot just 19.2% from three going 5 for 26 from deep while Auburn made 12 of their 30 three point attempts. While Alabama lost to Auburn, the Tide are still the second best team in the SEC.
23-2 (11-1). . 1. . 525. Aubie. Last Week: 1. . .
While Auburn's early week win over the Vanderbilt Commodores was impressive, it was just the appetizer for the main course. The Tigers went into Tuscaloosa in a matchup between the Nation's Top Two teams and left victorious giving Auburn arguably the most impressive win of the year. The Tide had no answer for Johni Broome who may have solidified himself as the National Player of the Year in College Basketball.
