Matchups, Teams, and Tournament Byes
Unlike several other major power conferences, every team in the SEC makes the Conference Tournament, which makes for a more entertaining week. The tournament will start with Georgia facing Kentucky, Ole Miss facing Missouri, and Alabama facing Auburn on the first day of the tournament. The lone matchup set in the second round is between Mississippi State and LSU as Vanderbilt is the lone school in the conference without a softball program.
Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas, and Tennessee earned Top Four seeds which gives them two byes in the tournament which means their tournament starts in the Quarterfinals. Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, and South Carolina all earned first round byes, meaning they'll start their Tournament runs in the second round.
Location:
The SEC Tournament brings every team to Athens, Georgia as they fight for the SEC Tournament Championship. The games will be played in the Jack Turner Stadium which is home for the Georgia Softball team.
