The 5 Biggest Winners and Losers of Week 10 in College Football
Winner - South Carolina Gamecocks
Before the game even started on Saturday Night you could tell that the environment in Williams-Brice Stadium was incredible to the point you felt the Gamecocks would win this game. Last weekend, Texas A&M shut down LSU's run game this weekend, Rocket Sanders and LaNorris Sellers shredded their defense as the Gamecocks picked up 286 yards on the ground controlling the game.
When you look at South Carolina they could easily be a team in contention for the College Football Playoff with a few different bounces. LaNorris Sellers was injured when they faced LSU, they got behind early on against Ole Miss putting them in a bad situation, and they easily could've knocked off Alabama in Tuscaloosa. This team is going to be a team in contention for the SEC in 2025 if it can get all of its pieces back but, the program is turning around.
Loser - Texas A&M Aggies
Last Weekend, Texas A&M was one of the biggest winners knocking off LSU to claim first place in the SEC. As quick as they rose to the top they fell as they got dominated by South Carolina on Saturday Night as the Gamecocks did whatever they wanted to. The Gamecocks ran the ball all over A&M rushing for 286 yards as the Aggies got dominated in the trenches.
The Aggies should win the next two weeks against New Mexico State and Auburn but, that final game of the season against Texas could decide their College Football Playoff fate. The biggest issues with Texas A&M is their stance on their quarterbacks as everyone starts to question if a change is coming once this team gets behind.
These next two weeks have to be centered around picking a quarterback as the Longhorns risk losing both players to the portal while they also can't win with drama at the position.
