For multiple generations, Coach has been the face of our Saturday mornings and the sport we love.
Our friend, our coach, our heart ... LC, you will forever be a College GameDay legend! pic.twitter.com/AjK8iNw7ye
Lee Corso was the face of College Gameday as he was hired at the shows inception in 1987 and quickly became an icon. Every Saturday College Gameday became appointment television for College Football fans and those who weren't massive fans still checked to see which team's headgear Lee Corso donned that morning.
Whether Lee Corso was blurting out his famous "Not so fast, my friend" or turning heel against the crowd he was appointment television and if you asked hundreds of fans for their favorite Lee Corso moment, you may get a different answer from everyone asked.
Lee Corso started his headgear picks in 1996 when he made his first pick predicting Ohio State would beat Penn State a pick he won. In 2005, Corso would make his 100th pick predicting Florida State would beat Boston College which was another correct pick. Corso would lose his 200th pick as Wisconsin lost to Michigan State but, picks 300 and 400 were correct as Corso was almost always spot on with his milestone picks.

Whether Lee Corso was appealing to the crowd or turning heel against them, picking your favorite team or picking against them, no matter what the pick was he made it hilarious and perfectly led fans into a great day of College Football. We often say that there will never be another person that reaches a feat but, with Lee Corso it's true that no one will ever touch a generation the way Lee Corso did.
