After a dominant season for the LSU Women's Basketball team, all eyes were on Aneesah Morrow and where she may land in the 2025 WNBA Draft. After a year filled with turnover, the Connecticut Sun ended up with the 7th and 8th overall picks to kick off their rebuild. The Connecticut Sun used the 7th overall pick to select Aneesah Morrow after Angel Reese went 7th overall to the Sky last season.

The Connecticut Sun won't compete for the Championship right away as this will be a younger team but, with Aneesah Morrow and the 8th overall pick in the WNBA Draft, the team will have two young cornerstones to build for the future around.

Aneesah Morrow started her career off at DePaul quickly emerging as one of the stars of the sport as a true freshman averaging 21.9 points per game, 13.8 rebounds per game, 2.7 steals per game, and 1.8 blocks per game. As a Sophomore, Aneesah Morrow took her game to the next level scoring 25.7 points per game and 12.2 rebounds per game.

After her dominant start to her career, Aneesah Morrow transferred to LSU where she'd prove that she could be dominant at the highest level preparing herself for a career in the WNBA.

In her first season at LSU, Aneesah Morrow and the LSU Lady Tigers made it to the Elite 8 in part because of Morrow's dominance. Morrow averaged 16.4 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game building a dominant duo on the interior with Angel Reese.

As a Senior, Aneesah Morrow cemented herself as one of the best players in College Basketball earning All American status. Along with Flau'Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams, Morrow helped form one of the most dominant trios in College Basketball bringing LSU back to the Elite Eight.

The knock on Aneesah Morrow was that she's undersized for the center position and isn't a natural Power Forward. At the WNBA, Aneesah Morrow will need to develop her game outside of the paint to become a well balanced player but, her work ethic has shown she's willing to continue developing her game.
