Coming into Today, no one knew if Jayden Daniels would be able to play as the Rookie sensation was dealing with a rib injury. Daniels toughed it out and the Commanders didn't play their best game as both offenses struggled. The Bears scored late to take a lead and the Commanders needed a Hail Mary to win the game.
If there was any doubt in Daniels making the throw with the rib injury it was quickly erased as Daniels danced around to buy himself time before launching the ball 62 yards in the air where it was batted right into the arms of Noah Brown.
Everyone watching at home, everyone watching at the game and everyone on the internet exploded in excitement except for Bears fans.
The LSU Football account had no words except for Daniels name.
LSU Legend Ryan Clark gave Daniels a ton of credit for his grit to play this game and the magic in his arm.
A fellow Heisman Winner and Rookie sensation in Washington Robert Griffin III shared his excitement:
LSU National Champion Jacob Hester shared his excitement for Daniels:
Commanders Head Coach Dan Quinn was elated running onto the field looking for anyone to hug:
Albert Breer touched on the play and how the arrival of Daniels has completely changed the Commanders franchise.
Fox Sports' Chris Broussard had few words for Daniels but, they're fitting.
Jayden Daniels pretty much just locked up the Rookie of the Year Award and likely will have the greatest play of the season. It's fitting that Daniels did it against the team that didn't give him a fair shake in the draft as the Bears were so locked in on Caleb Williams while all Daniels has done is impress.
