On Sunday, Conference Tournaments around College Baseball drew to a close setting all of the automatic bids into the NCAA Tournament. While the LSU Baseball team didn't win the NCAA Tournament, it was a guarantee that LSU would play in the Tournament as the Tigers were one of the best teams in the Country throughout the regular season.
The biggest question for LSU was if the Tigers would be a 1 seed and more importantly if they'd be able to land a Top 8 seed which would guarantee the Tigers the chance to host Super Regionals. While the NCAA Tournament bracket is revealed on Monday, the Top 16 seeds were released on Sunday night setting where each Regional would be played.
While it doesn't come as a surprise, the LSU Baseball team was revealed as 1 of 16 Regional Hosts meaning the Tigers will play the first round of the Tournament at Alex Box Stadium.

The Tigers were all but. locked into a Top 16 National seed as the Tigers went 43-14 with a 19-11 record in SEC play which landed the Tigers 12th in the RPI Rankings. The bigger question now is whether the committee seeds the tournament closer to the RPI Rankings or the projections as it'll determine whether or not LSU hosts Super Regionals.
All of the latest projections have had the Tigers as the 5th overall seed in the NCAA Tournament which would be in the Tigers' favor. The concern would be that LSU's RPI ranking falls outside of the Top 8, which could hurt the Tigers.
Regardless of whether LSU ranks in the Top 8, the Tigers will still need to win their Regional and playing the Regional is a massive advantage for the Tigers. LSU travels better than any program in the Country and if the offense can find its rhythm, the Tigers have a roster talented enough to return to Omaha.
