The LSU Basketball team got to cap off their Non-Conference slate on Sunday Night as the Tigers took on the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. The Tigers won the game 110-45 taking an 11-2 record and a 9-0 record at home into SEC Play.

When you look at a team that’s dying to outperform expectations and ready to go on a run in SEC play you look at what LSU did on defense and it checks those boxes. The Tigers held the Delta Devils to just 13 points in the first half, 45 points total, and forced 17 turnovers on the game.

Cam Carter continues to be this teams best source of scoring leading the Tigers on Sunday night with 23 points shooting an efficient 9 of 14 from the field and 5 of 9 from three. Carter got an awesome moment on Sunday Night as he scored his 1,000th career point at Home.

Vyctorius Miller continues to be LSU's best weapon while coming off the bench scoring 20 points on Sunday making 9 of 13 shots grabbing 5 rebounds, blocking two shots, and recording a steal. This team has a ton of upside and that upside is Miller continuing to grow as he gains more experience but, he's the most talented player on the team.

Daimion Collins gave the Tigers the dominant performance they'll be looking for in SEC play scoring 15 points while making 6 of 7 shots with 6 rebounds. If you're watching SportsCenter on Sunday Night you may even see Collins throwing down an ally oop in the Top Ten plays segment.

Jordan Sears continues to make scoring 15 points a normal occurrence doing it once again on 6 of 10 shooting.

The massive blowout also allowed Matt McMahon to get some of his younger players more involved in the game. Derek Fountain contributed 7 points while grabbing 5 rebounds, he'll be a player that LSU needs to take that next step at some point in SEC play. The Tigers were able to get Noah Boyde involved as well as he continues his recovery from ACL surgery and he gave the Tigers scored 6 points.

Next week, the LSU Basketball team will get their first taste of SEC play when the Tigers take on Vanderbilt. If LSU plays the way they did tonight, buying in on defense while playing a total team game, this team is poised to make some early season projections look really bad.
