The LSU Football team has Tigers fans feeling like its Groundhog's Day

Last season, LSU went into Tuscaloosa and lost because the defense allowed Jalen Milroe to run for four touchdowns. In the Tigers last game against Texas A&M, LSU blew its shot at leading the SEC because Marcel Reed ran all over LSU scoring three touchdowns as the Aggies mounted a massive comeback.

After the loss to Texas A&M, Brian Kelly told the world the recipe to beating his team as it seemed his teams sole focus was going to be stopping the quarterback run.

"It's the million-dollar question. I would say that we need to spend more time, each and every week it's gotta be part of it. Because right now, I would run the quarterback against us."

Kalen DeBoer and Nick Sheridan saw that suggestion and used the two weeks to design the perfect gameplan for Jalen Milroe. While the Tide crafted their gameplan it appears the only major development out of Baton Rouge was bringing in a live Tiger.

Jalen Milroe made LSU fans feel like they were watching the same game they lost last season as Jalen Milroe dominated the Tigers rushing for 185 yards and four touchdowns.

The game went so poorly for LSU that Alabama pulled its starters with seven minutes left in the game and the backups even took their turn punishing LSU's defense as the Tide scored their sixth rushing touchdown of the game. The Tide scored as many touchdowns running the football as LSU scored points all together.

For all of the defense's struggles, the offense was just as bad as they were kept out of the endzone until the last drive of the game. Garrett Nussmeier did not take care of the football as he fumbled once and threw a pair of interceptions after his turnovers cost LSU the Texas A&M game.

The Tigers picked up 45 yards on their first rushing play of the game, after that play the Tigers recorded just 47 yards on the next 22 carries.

The Wide Receivers didn't make their impact on this game, as they didn't make their first catch until the two minute timeout of the first half. LSU's wide receivers were held to just 98 yards before the final drive of the game while Mason Taylor carried the team with 50 yards.

College Gameday showed up, 300 recruits showed up, the entire stadium showed up, and even a live Tiger showed up but, the team did not.

The Tigers are once again out of the dance way too soon

The LSU Football team is now certainly eliminated from contention for the College Football Playoff because, even if the committee lets in a three loss team it won't be one that lost by 29 points at home to Alabama, lost on the road to Texas A&M, and lost to an awful USC Trojans team. When Brian Kelly was picked to replace Ed Orgeron he came with a massive paycheck and a massive set of expectations. The Tigers have once again fallen way short of those expectations and its truly disappointing.
