The Transfer Portal activity has finally slowed nearing a halt and all attention for the staff has now shifted toward building out the 2026 recruiting class. The Tigers entered the new year with the Nation's 7th ranked recruiting class holding five commitments all of which have come from In-State players.

On Thursday, the LSU Football team is looking to add another commitment at the Under Armour All American game as the focus shifts to building out the 2026 class. Top 100 recruit JaReylan McCoy will commit at the All-American Game picking between LSU, Tennessee, and USC.

McCoy is a player that has been on the staffs radar for a long time as he was one of the players at Brian Kelly's first Summer camp and impressed the staff. According to On3, JaReylan McCoy is the 88th ranked player in the class, the 8th ranked defensive lineman, and the 6th ranked player out of Mississippi.

Landing McCoy would be a massive win for the Tigers as they turn their attention to building out this class. McCoy would join defensive lineman Richard Anderson in this class giving LSU one of the best defensive line duos early on in this cycle.

McCoy is massive at 6 foot 7 and 246 pounds, runs a 4.6 40 yard dash which gives him great speed and a ton of closing burst. At the next level, McCoy is likely an edge rusher with a similar body frame to Sai'Vion Jones.

The Tigers have one of the best pitches to any edge rusher on the recruiting trail which we saw with the Tigers success in the transfer portal. Kevin Peoples has proven to be one of the best developmental coaches which is why he's become such a great recruiter.

As things currently stand, the LSU Football team appears to be the favorite to land the commitment on Thursday.
