The LSU Football team continues to get great news this week as the attention has swung from the transfer portal to the recruiting trail. The Tigers coaching staff has been on the road this week offering scholarships to top players in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes. The good news comes when a recruit sets a visit or trims their list down including LSU as it means the Tigers are truly in the mix.

The Tigers will get one of their top recruits onto campus to start February as Elite Wide Receiver Jabari Mack will make his way to Baton Rouge to start February.

According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Jabari Mack is the 78th ranked player in the class, the 14th ranked Wide Receiver, and the 6th ranked player out of Louisiana. Mack plays for Destrehan which has been a school which has given LSU great success as the Tigers just signed Destrehan's Phillip Wright and Jhase Thomas while two-star wide receiver Justin Jefferson worked out pretty well for LSU.

Earlier this Month, Jabari Mack announced his Top Ten Schools including LSU in the mix.

The Tigers have had their most success with wide receivers out of Louisiana and thus far the Tigers have landed a pair of commitments from In-State Receivers Kenny Darby and Jakai Anderson. Leaving the cycle with Jabari Mack, Kenny Darby, Jakai Anderson, and one other Wide Receiver would be an incredible haul setting the foundation at the position.

For Cortez Hankton, landing Jabari Mack is one of the most important recruits to land this recruiting cycle. LSU already has two of his teammates on board and developed Justin Jefferson into one of the best receivers in the NFL. If LSU is going to continue to miss out on the top Out of State receivers, landing the top players in state becomes a much bigger priority.

This season, the Tigers hosted Jabari Mack three times throughout this season for games and will look to have him on campus as often as possible during the offseason, he's talked about committing early a ton so it's important that LSU stays on Mack until Signing Day.
