The LSU Lady Tigers headed to Gainsville for a Sunday Afternoon showdown with the Florida Gators looking to remain unbeaten. The Tigers came out of the gate on fire taking a 7-0 lead 61 seconds into this game and it looked like LSU may run away with this game early on. Then Florida went on a 21-8 run to end the First Quarter and it looked like LSU may be in a battle.
In actuality, the First Quarter only woke LSU up and the Tigers dominated the rest of this game. The Tigers dominated the final 30 minutes of this game outscoring Florida 22-12 in the Second Quarter, 22-15 in the third quarter, and 21-15 in the Fourth Quarter.
The Lady Tigers dominated every aspect of this game as the defense was incredible in this game and Florida never could find their rhythm after the first quarter. LSU's smothering defense led to Florida turning the ball over 24 times and the Lady Tigers made them pay scoring 35 points off of turnovers.
The Tigers' dominant trio turned in yet another massive performance as Florida's defense had no answers for the Tigers. Mikaylah Williams was red hot knocking down three 3 point attempts leading LSU with 22 points in this game. Aneesah Morrow continues to dominate everyone recording 20 points and 10 rebounds recording yet another double-double. Flau'Jae Johnson had an efficient day from the field scoring 19 to help lead the Tigers to victory.
LSU royalty was in attendance as Shaquille O'Neal was in attendance watching his daughter Me'Arah who plays for Florida.
