The 7th ranked LSU Lady Tigers came into Wednesday Night looking to pickup a massive win over the 13th ranked Oklahoma. All season long LSU has gotten criticism for playing a softer and a win over the Sooners was another shot at a Top 25 win.

This game was an all out war on both sides and at times it became a mess as there were 50 personal fouls, 5 technical fouls, and a pair of ejections. The ejections came early on in this game as Sa'Myah Smith got into a battle in the paint which led to a shoving match and she was ejected alongside Oklahoma's Liz Smith. The ejection means that LSU will be without Sa'Myah Smith against Mississippi State.

Oklahoma held a lead heading into the second quarter and then LSU looked to take control with an 83-68 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Sooners started to race back cutting the LSU lead to one point with less than a minute to go. Mikaylah Williams saved the day for the Tigers hitting a dagger three sealing the win for the Tigers.

Mikaylah Williams was on fire the entire night and she carried the offense scoring 37 points on 12-20 shooting from the field, 7-12 shooting from three, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Flau'Jae Johnson was dominant whenever Mikaylah Williams wasn't handling the scoring as she finished the game with 25 points on 10-17 shooting with five rebounds. Aneesah Morrow recorded yet another double double scoring 21 points while grabbing 12 rebounds.

This game was the best the Tigers offense has looked all season but, this was also the most points the defense has let up all season. The Sooners were able to make a 24 point comeback down the stretch which is something that shouldn't ever happen with how talented this team is. All in all, it's a massive resume boosting win for the Lady Tigers as they look to get back into the Top 5.

The most interesting news comes following the game as Last-Tear Poa was listed as out on the availability report, after the game, Kim Mulkey revealed that she is being disciplined for breaking a team rule.

It'll be interesting to see whether Poa plays next game especially as Sa'Myah Smith is suspended for the next game.
