The LSU Football team has been red hot on the recruiting trail with a top 3 class in the 2025 recruiting cycle and a top ten class in the 2026 cycle but, its still early. One area where LSU should stand out to potential recruits is at the Wide Receiver position as LSU continues to develop recruits into elite College Receivers and then into elite NFL Receivers.

The Tigers have appeared to stand out to one 2026 recruit Devin Fitzgerald the son of Arizona Cardinals legend Larry Fitzgerald. Devin and Larry have popped up at a few schools on visits during his recruitment including Alabama, Minnesota, and Penn State.

This weekend, while LSU had recruits all over campus for a loaded recruiting weekend, the Tigers had Devin and Larry Fitzgerald in attendance.

Now Fitzgerald did watch two games on Saturday as the Fitzgerald's were in Tuscaloosa for South Carolina vs Alabama.

The only recruiting service that has ranked Fitzgerald thus far is 24/7 Sports who ranks him as the 79th ranked wide receiver and the 4th ranked player in Arizona in the 2026 class. LSU has succeeded in recruiting the sons of Hall of Fame talents like when they landed Mason Taylor although, Pitt will have a better chance than Akron did.

We'll have to wait and see where Fitzgerald ends up ranked after his Junior season but, even if he's a three star recruit, LSU should pursue him especially with expanded rosters coming next season.
