As of late, the LSU Football program has been building up a ton of momentum on the recruiting trail. The Tigers Coaching staff has spent the past few weeks offering some of the top recruits in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting classes as they build out their recruiting boards. The best news comes when LSU is either able to get a top recruit to campus or when the Tigers make the cut for a recruit who is cutting their list down.

The Tigers continue to get great news on Saturday as the top overall tight end in the 2027 recruiting class has reclassified into the 2026 recruiting class and has included LSU in the 12 schools that he's considering going forward.

Prior to the decision to reclassify, Mark Bowman was On3's 5th ranked player in the 2027 recruiting class, the top tight end in the class, and the 2nd ranked recruit out of California showing how highly regarded he is as a recruit.

The LSU Football team cracks the Top 12 schools and LSU will now likely be one of the schools pushing for Mark Bowman the hardest. The Tigers lost Mason Taylor, Ka'Morreun Pimpton, and Mac Markway since the start of the season and brought in Veteran tight ends Bauer Sharp and Donovan Green along with Freshman JD LaFleur to restock the room.

Given that Sharp has just one season of eligibility remaining and that Donovan Green could leave after a solid season LSU will be heavily recruiting tight ends. Under Brian Kelly, LSU has put an emphasis on the tight end position and the Tigers are consistently loaded at the position. The Tigers will be able to pitch Bowman on their ability to develop tight ends as Mason Taylor will be one of the first tight ends drafted this spring.
