While the 2019 LSU Tigers have seemingly all transitioned right into superstardom in the NFL, Terrace Marshall Jr hasn't had the same success. As Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase battle for the title of being the best wide receiver in the NFL, Terrace Marshall Jr is still looking to find his footing in the NFL. While Ja'Marr Chase landed with Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferso landed on a solid team, Marshall Jr hasn't had the same fortune.
Terrace Marshall Jr was drafted to the Carolina Panthers who were transitioning as their older player slowly started to leave the team. As Marshall went through several coaching and front office changes, it's easy to see why he hasn't had the start to his career many would've thought he would. After short tenures with the 49ers and the Raiders, Marshall has found the next stop for his career.
Terrace Marshall Jr will thrive with the Philadelphia Eagles
On Thursday Night, Terrace Marshall Jr found his next home signing with the Philadelphia Eagles on a one-year deal.
Thus far, Terrace Marshall Jr has played in 43 games catching 67 passes for 808 yards and a touchdown. While Marshall has played four seasons in the NFL, he's still just 24 years old with a ton of potential.
Landing in Philadelphia will be the best thing for Terrace Marshall Jr as he looks to prove his worth so he can cash in on a multi-year deal next offseason. By playing with Jalen Hurts, Marshall will be playing with the best quarterback in his NFL Career which will only help his production. When you look at the weapons the Eagles have, especially at wide receiver, when Marshall Jr is on the field he'll get to face off against the worst defensive back, which will open up space for him.
While Terrace Marshall Jr may not be a starter for the Philadelphia Eagles, even in a rotational role he'll have a chance to make an impact whenever he takes the field. At 24, Terrace Marshall Jr still has plenty of great football in him and he'll get to prove it this season.
