As the NFL season winds to a close, we'll start to see the NFL's Pro Bowl teams unveiled as well as the end of season Awards such as All Pro Teams, MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and the Rookie of the Year. The Pro Bowl Rosters came out on Thursday and headlining the selections were LSU Alums Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels.
The honor is incredible and adds another resume point to LSU's long list of accomplishments. The quarterbacks will be joined by Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, and Derek Stingley Jr making it an impressive year by LSU's Pros.
As a Rookie, Jayden Daniels making the game is a massive honor that speaks to how great he has been in year one. This season, Daniels has passed for 3,530 yards with 25 touchdowns and 9 interceptions while adding another 864 yards rushing with 6 touchdowns. The Heisman Winner has taken the Commanders from being a laughingstock to the Playoffs as the Commanders have gone from 4-13 to 11-5.
The veteran Joe Burrow has had arguably his greatest season in his career and he still may not make the Playoffs. On the Season Joe Burrow has a league leading 4,641 yards and leads the league with 42 touchdowns while throwing just 8 interceptions. The Bengals still have one game left to play yet, Burrow has set career highs in both statistics helping carry the Bengals this season.
It'll be exciting to see if the two get to face off and how many Tigers end up playing in the game, it would be pretty cool to watch Daniels pass to Justin Jefferson with Derek Stingley Jr in coverage.
