The NFL Draft has ended and shockingly LSU cornerback Zy Alexander went undrafted. Alexander was heavily expected to be a late day two to early day three selection but, may have went undrafted over concerns with his previous ACL injury. While Alexander won't be an NFL Draft pick, he will have a chance to make an NFL roster signing with the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks are getting a true steal in Cornerback Zy Alexander

The Seahawks are getting a cornerback with all of the physical tools to make an instant impact player at cornerback. Alexander excels in man coverage with physicality at the line of scrimmage and the speed to keep up with high speed receivers. The most underrated aspect of Alexander's game is his willingness and ability to come up and tackle in space.

Seahawks fans shouldn't be if Zy Alexander comes in and impresses enough int camp to earn a role on the roster.

Zy Alexander started his career as a 0-star recruit, staying home signing with Southeastern Louisiana. In his three seasons at Southeastern Louisiana, Alexander emerged as a star making the All-Southland 1st and 3rd teams while being named an FCS All American. In his time at Southeastern Louisiana, Alexander emerged as a ballhawk with 9 interceptions in three seasons.

After emerging in-state, the LSU Tigers jumped on the chance to improve in the secondary, adding Alexander via the transfer portal. In his first season with LSU, Alexander was the Tigers top cover cornerback with a pair of interceptions and 7 pass breakups but his season was cut short as he tore his ACL returning an interception against Army.

The torn ACL caused Zy Alexander to miss the start of the 2024 season but, once he returned he quickly emerged as LSU's top cornerback once again. Alexander racked up another two interceptions with 6 pass deflections locking down one side of the field for the LSU Football team.
