This week has been filled with highlights from the NFL Showcase bowls as top NFL Draft Prospects are in Mobile, Alabama for the Reese's Senior Bowl and Arlington, Texas for the 100th East West Shrine Bowl. The Senior Bowl has garnered the most attention but, the Shrine Bowl is one of the premier events that NFL teams attend when it's time to scout potential players they'd like to draft.

The LSU prospect with the most eyes on him at the East West Shrine Bowl was cornerback Zy Alexander. Coming off of ACL Surgery, Alexander turned in an incredible season with his draft stock skyrocketing from a relative unknown to a prospect with a ton of suitors. Heading into the Shrine Bowl, Alexander was being mock drafted as a third round selection and a Top 100 pick.

The Shrine Bowl practices saw some nice plays from Zy Alexander and some plays where he was beat which is par for the course. Alexander didn't hurt his draft stock this week and heading into the game he likely could've improved his stock even further.

The scouts and front office executives didn't get to watch Zy Alexander however, as he missed the game with an injury and was wearing a walking boot on the sidelines.

There hasn't been much talk of what Alexander's injury was in part because it's not like at LSU where the reporters were all asking the coach if a player would be back next week.

The injury will now be a red flag to watch going forward as teams, analysts, and fans likely won't hear about the severity unless he pulls out of the NFL Combine. If it's a serious injury, it would deal a massive blow to Alexander's Draft Stock as team's won't know what the timetable of return is and after having ACL surgery teams may already be skeptical.
