The updated availability reports indicate that LSU will be without two wide receivers
When the first version of the SEC's availability report was released earlier in the week we quickly found out that LSU would be without Kyle Parker before Brian Kelly announced that Parker was out for the season. There was also some concern about whether or not CJ Daniels or Chris Hilton Jr would play as both receivers were listed as questionable.
The two receivers are trending toward missing Saturday Night's game against Ole Miss as they have both been downgraded to "Doubtful" from "Questionable"
Chris Hilton Jr continues to deal with "bone bruises" in his foot while CJ Daniels is dealing with a meniscus injury and has a history of knee injuries which means LSU has to be cautious.
On the other side of this matchup, it looks like Ole Miss' star receiver Tre Harris will be able to play after missing the second half of the South Carolina game with an injury.
Considering how important this game is for LSU in terms of making the College Football Playoff, this is one of the worst games to be dealing with a ton of injuries. The Tigers will need for players like Zavion Thomas, Shelton Sampson, and Jelani Watkins to step up if and when their numbers are called.
How will this team handle the adversity?
When we look back on this LSU Football season, one of the biggest storylines will be how this team either overcame injuries or how injuries derailed what could've been a season where LSU made the College Football Playoffs. The Tigers have lost Harold Perkins Jr, Jacobian Guillory, Kyle Parker, and John Emery Jr for the season and Chris Hilton Jr is yet to play this season.
