While LSU Women's Basketball fans may have hoped that Angel Reese and Aneesah Morrow would get to unite in the WNBA, the Chicago Sky with the 11th and 12th overall picks were never going to be able to land Aneesah Morrow without making a massive trade to move up in the draft. That did not stop the Chicago Sky from reuniting Angel Reese with one of her former LSU teammates as the Chicago Sky used the 11th overall pick in the Draft on Hailey Van Lith bringing the stars back together again.

As soon as the Chicago Sky made their pick, Angel Reese chimed in on social media sharing her excitement about how the duo didn't get to win it all the first time around and will have a chance for redemption.
We ain’t do it right the first time. Let’s run it backkkkk🫣 https://t.co/8PXLsHkUyN

Hailey Van Lith started her career at Louisville where she quickly became one of the best players in the Country during her three seasons with the Cardinals. Following her third season at Louisville, Hailey Van Lith transferred to LSU looking to help the Lady Tigers repeat as National Champions.
When paired up with Angel Reese and LSU's hoard of superstars, Hailey Van Lith and the Tigers made it all the way to the Elite Eight before losing to Iowa. On the season, Van Lith averaged 11.6 points per game, 2.4 rebounds per game, and 3.6 assists per game. Van Lith would often find Angel Reese on the inside as she led the Tigers scoring 18.6 points per game and 13.4 rebounds per game.
After the season, Angel Reese went on to be the 7th overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft before having a record setting season. Van Lith finished her college career with TCU moving on from LSU as she wasn't the right fit in Kim Mulkey's system. The WNBA will better suit Van Lith's game and it'll be exciting to see the magic the duo makes on the court again this season.
