Every week, the LSU Football team continues to build on its top ranked recruiting class as LSU looks to sign another Top-10 recruiting class. This week, LSU added elite cornerback Havon Finney Jr to its recruiting class bolstering the top ranked group. As the Summer approaches where LSU will have a loaded official visit schedule, the Tigers are poised to continue adding blue-chip recruits. The latest good news for the LSU Football team comes as tight end recruit Gavin Mueller releases his final four schools.

Tight end recruit Gavin Mueller releases final four ahead of May 14th commitment

On May 14th, tight end recruit Gavin Mueller will announce his commitment and the LSU Tigers are in the final four along with Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Colorado.

On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings grade Mueller as a 3-star recruit, ranked as the 502nd ranked player in the class, the 22nd ranked tight end, and the 13th ranked player out of Illinois. Mueller's May 14th commitment date is important to the Tigers as they'll host Mueller on an official visit from May 9th-11th getting what should be the final official visit.

This offseason, LSU brought in Alex Atkins to coach the tight ends which marks his first time coaching the position. LSU is still looking for their first commitment at the position in this recruiting class which makes Mueller's upcoming commitment one to watch.

During this recruiting cycle, the LSU Football team will likely have to sign two tight ends out of High School. This offseason after suffering some losses to the transfer portal LSU brought in Bauer Sharp and Donovan Green but, both players are seniors. As Alex Atkins looks to make the tight end room his own it'll be exciting to see which style of player he adds and how they develop especially as blockers.
