As the NFL Season continues to wrap up with the Playoffs underway, teams focus starts to shift toward this offseason. As the offseason continues to near NFL teams are looking to fill the biggest holes in their rosters to retool in their strive for Super Bowls. The best way to build a team is through the NFL Draft and one prospect that raised their draft stock the most was Zy Alexander.

After tearing his ACL in 2023, Zy Alexander bounced back with his best season yet as a lockdown cornerback for the majority of the season. Heading into the Draft Process, Zy Alexander is currently projected to be a Day Two selection and could get a phone call on Draft Day from one of these five teams.

New York Giants

If the 2024 season proved anything for the New York Giants, it's that the Giants are in need of a significant influx of talent on both sides of the football. The Giants significantly lack talent at cornerback as First Round Pick Deonte Banks struggled this season. In Zy Alexander, the Giants would be getting the boundary cornerback they are lacking while giving them another long-term piece in the secondary.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints desperately need an influx of young talent on their aging roster after another disappointing season. After trading away Marshon Lattimore the Saints need to bring in younger players in the defensive backfield. Adding Zy Alexander along with Kool-Aid McKinstry and Alontae Taylor would give the Saints a young cornerback core to build around going forward.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers struggled mightily against opposing passing attacks allowing 243.9 passing yards per game which ranked 29th in the NFL. As the Buccaneers look to reload they desperately need to add pieces in the secondary. Injuries derailed the Bucs defensive back room in the Playoffs and in Zy Alexander the Bucs are getting a cornerback that can play right away but, may not need to.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers may be shopping the cornerback market this offseason as it appears Jaire Alexander is looking to move on. The Packers are the youngest team in the NFL and as they continue their youth movement they can add a Rookie cornerback to the secondary. Zy Alexander can help reinforce the Packers defense as they face high powered offenses like the Lions and Vikings twice a year.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings fall under the same category as the Green Bay Packers as they face the Packers and Lions offenses twice a year. The Vikings have some decisions to make as they started two veteran cornerbacks in Shaquill Griffin and Stefon Gilmore this season. The Vikings should look to get younger in the secondary and if Brian Flores stays drafting a cornerback that excels in man coverage in Zy Alexander would be a great fit.
