The recruiting dead period is officially over and this week the floodgates open back up as the top players in the Country will be able to visit college campuses this week. The LSU Tigers will be among the busiest teams in the Country as they'll have elite recruits on campus every weekend. LSU currently has just six commits on board but, they account for the Nation's third ranked recruiting class which LSU will look to build upon.
The Tigers will get their first chance to make a strong impression this weekend as elite edge rusher Trenton Henderson makes his way to campus.

The Tigers get Trenton Henderson on campus for his first of five unofficial visits but, the Tigers aren't getting an official visit currently. The Tigers will look to impress this weekend with the hope of getting a return trip from Henderson to give the Tigers a better chance at landing him.
According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Trenton Henderson is the 48th ranked player in the Country, the 5th ranked edge rusher in the class, and the 6th ranked player out of Florida. Kevin Peoples has established himself as one of the best at developing edge rushers and has always been a strong recruiter which helps LSU in the recruitment of Henderson.
The Tigers will need to sign a massive class of edge rushers in the 2026 recruiting cycle. During the 2025 cycle, LSU only signed edge rusher Damien Shanklin while bringing in three transfers Patrick Payton, Jack Pyburn, and Jimari Butler who LSU will need to replace this offseason.
Given the ten team field still in play for Trenton Henderson, the Tigers still have a great chance at landing the Top 50 recruit but, LSU appears to be in the second group of teams. Leaving this weekend, we'll know where LSU stands with Henderson and if he's a name to watch going forward.
