While Saturday Night's loss was bad for the LSU Tigers, leaving the game some of the concerns are even worse. During the loss, LSU saw superstar tight end Trey'Dez Green leave the game with what appeared to be a scary leg injury, safety Dashawn Spears left the game with an injury, and after the game, Lane Kiffin announced that wide receiver Phillip Wright III suffered a season ending injury.
The biggest concern for LSU is the health of their star tight end, as there are few pieces as important to the team as Green. While Lane Kiffin wouldn't provide much insight into the injury, LSU got a promising update on the health of their biggest weapon.
Trey'Dez Green appears to have avoided a major injury
On Sunday, Trey'Dez Green's mother took to Facebook, where she shared that her son did not suffer any torn ligaments and won't need to undergo surgery.

The extent of the injuries appears to be bad sprains and bruises, which is tricky to navigate, but hearing that Trey'Dez Green doesn't need surgery is a massive relief.
LSU fans likely won't get a ton of information on Trey'Dez Green's injury and status unless Lane Kiffin changes his tune and offers up an update when he speaks to the media. Injury reports will come out again next week with the Tigers facing Texas A&M in an SEC game, but Kiffin has already shown that he will play games with the injury report.
The hope for the Tigers will be that Trey'Dez Green can return for the Texas A&M game, as LSU needs to bounce back in a big way. Lane Kiffin already shared on Sunday how he feels about the depth at tight end as he explained this is the reason why he tried to add Dae'Quan Wright to the roster.

Through three games, Trey'Dez Green ranks 2nd on the Tigers in receptions (14), 1st in receiving yards (222), and tied for 2nd with a receiving touchdown. While the Tigers have a ton of exciting weapons, no one is as big of a threat as Green, and as long as he's out of the lineup, LSU needs to find a new go-to weapon on 3rd downs, and in the redzone where Green has become unguardable over the years.
