On Sunday Night, the NFL crowned a new champion as the Philadelphia Eagles dethroned the back to back champion Kansas City Chiefs. While there were no LSU Tigers playing in the game, two LSU Tigers will gain new jewelry following the season as Tyrion Davis-Price and Andre' Sam were on the Eagles practice squad and made contributions this season.

This was the third season in the NFL for Tyrion Davis-Price and his second trip to the Super Bowl. This time around, Davis-Price will get a Super Bowl ring after the 49ers lost to the Chiefs last season with Davis-Price on the roster. Davis-Price played sparingly this season in a loaded backfield but, he did get three rushing attempts for 7 yards.

At LSU, Davis-Price was a three year contributor for the Tigers from 2019 through 2021. During his three seasons at LSU, Davis-Price rushed for 1,744 yards and 15 touchdowns adding another 185 yards as a receiver. The Baton Rouge Native now becomes a Super Bowl Champion and an NCAA Champion, two incredible achievements.

The Eagles hardly deployed Andre' Sam this season as the team was loaded in the defensive backfield. This season, Sam did find his way into the stat sheet recording a tackle in the December game against the Panthers. After spending most of the season on the Eagles practice squad, Sam will have a chance to earn a bigger role this offseason.

Andre' Sam played just one season at LSU after four years at McNeese State and Marshall but, he made an impact for the Tigers. In his lone season in Baton Rouge, Andre Sam recorded 82 tackles, 2 pass defenses, and 3 interceptions. After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Sam and put him on the practice squad.
