This season as Jayden Daniels came in and took over the NFL it became clear that Jayden Daniels was a Franchise Quarterback. Daniels passed for 3,568 yards with 25 touchdowns and 9 interceptions while adding another 891 yards and 6 touchdowns with his legs. Daniels took the Commanders all the way to the NFC Championship Game where the team's Cinderella Run came to an end.
This season it became clear that Jayden Daniels needed more help as the team didn't have enough talent at Wide Receiver. Terry McLaurin led the team in receiving but, Daniels needed another weapon as teams started to do everything they could to take away Terry McLaurin. Breakout Wide Receiver Dyami Brown is a Free Agent and given how much teams are willing to pay, the team was going to have stiff competition.
On Saturday Night, the Washington Commanders went out and gave Jayden Daniels an incredible weapon trading a 5th round draft pick for San Francisco 49ers Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel.

This season was a down year for Deebo Samuel as he only caught 51 passes for 670 yards and 3 touchdowns with 136 yards and a score rushing. The 49ers have to pay Brock Purdy this offseason and were looking to shed salary cap room which benefits the Commanders.
Jayden Daniels now has a second wide receiver with immense talent which allows the team more versatility in what they can do offensively. Deebo Samuel can make an impact out of the back field. out wide, and in the slot which will change how defenses have to defend the team. While Samuel adds a massive threat as a receiver, seeing what the team may do with Samuel and Daniels on option plays will make them incredibly tough to defend.
Often times in the NFL, Quarterbacks undergo a Sophomore slumpas teams have better defensive gameplans to stop the offense. The Commanders now add a key piece for Jayden Daniles with the hopes that he takes another step forward in his second year in the NFL. The team still has loads of cap space and a first round pick which will further help in building around Jayden Daniels.
