The College Basketball season is rapidly approaching Post Season play as we're just a week away from February. The final stretch is about to kick off for the basketball teams in the SEC as the field is starting to prove some teams are contenders while others have no chance at competing for the regular season title. Once the Regular Season concludes, the seeds will be set and both the Men's and Women's team will kickoff the SEC Tournament with the winner gaining an automatic bid into March Madness.
The 2025 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament will begin on March 12th, 2025 and will run through March 16th when a Conference Champion is crowned. The Men's Tournament will be held in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena which is home to the Nashville Predators'.
The 2025 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament will begin on March 5th running through March 9th where an SEC Champion will be crowned. The Women's Tournament will be held in Greenville, South Carolina at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
The expansion of the SEC to 16 Teams has changed the format of the bracket on both the Men's and Women's sides as the Top Four seeds will get byes for the first two rounds, seeds five through eight gets byes for the opening round, and seeds nine through sixteen will have to win five games in a row to win the SEC Tournament.
In both SEC Tournaments, the entire first two rounds will be broadcast on the SEC Network. On the Men's side half of the third round will be broadcast on ESPN and half will remain on SEC Network before the Semifinals and the SEC Final will be played on ESPn. On the Women's side at the start of the third round half of the games will be broadcast on ESPN 2 and half will remain on SEC Network. The semifinal games will both be played on ESPN 2 but, the SEC Championship game will be broadcast on ESPN.
