The LSU Football team played one of its best games of the season on Saturday Night quickly dismantling any hopes of upsetting LSU for Arkansas. The defense allowed just ten points, the offensive line didn't allow a sack, and the Tigers offense was able to run the ball with ease. As LSU dominated this game, two players were given weekly awards by the SEC.

The SEC named LSU's right tackle Emery Jones the Co-SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week along with Tennessee's Cooper Mays. The Tigers offensive line was outstanding on Saturday Night as they didn't allow a sack and allowed just on tackle for a loss this week.

The SEC Special Teams Player of the Week is LSU's Kicker Damian Ramos who was outstanding on Saturday Night. Ramos hit all four of his field goals and both of his extra point attempts including makes from 48 yards, 47 yards, and two makes from 33 yards out. The make from 48 yards tied his career long which he set against Missouri last season.

The biggest snub of the week is by far Whit Weeks being snubbed as the SEC didn't name him one of the Co-Defensive Players of the Week. The competition was steep this week as Jalon Walker recorded eight tackles and three sacks for Georgia while Nick Emmanwori recorded 11 tackles, two interceptions, and a touchdown for South Carolina.

This week, Whit Weeks recorded nine tackles, a sack, a pass deflection, and an interception as a massive part of LSU's defensive success. While the two recipients were certainly deserving, Weeks should have been bundled in with the two or as the Linebacker of the Week as he had one of the best games of the week.
