The LSU Football team has struggled mightily the last three weeks dropping games to Texas A&M, Alabama, and a lowly Florida team. The Tigers defense has gotten gashed game over game on the ground as they've given up massive plays to Jalen Milroe, Marcel Reed, and Jadan Baugh became the latest to do so on Saturday.

The Tigers badly needed a stop late in the game after a puzzling decision to kick a field goal which cut Florida's lead to four. The dagger in LSU's hopes was a 55-yard run by Jadan Baugh to stretch Florida's lead to 11.

When you watch the play, you can tell why Baugh was able to score in a flash as no one set the edge allowing Baugh a clear lane to the endzone.

After the game, Whit Week shared what happened on that final play as no one was even close to bringing down Baugh.

"Miscommunication, half of us thought we were running one play half of us thought we were running a different play."
Whit Weeks

There are definitely a few reasons for why LSU's defense likely isn't having the best communication and why LSU continues to get gashed. Earlier in the season, Greg Penn III was earing the green dot for the Tigers calling out the plays for the defense. As the Tigers struggled at safety the staff made the decision to give the Green Dot to Sage Ryan so the safeties would play better.

That became an issue today when Sage Ryan and Bradyn Swinson were suspended for the 1st quarter meaning Major Burns took the green dot.

Just like the defense the whole team is on different wave lengths

Its not just the defense that has a ton of parts moving in different directions, its becoming a theme with the entire team. Brian Kelly was screaming at Chris Hilton Jr and later in the game Kyren Lacy was screaming at Brian Kelly. Two players were suspended a quarter today a clear sign that the team is having some type of disconnect. The Tigers have two meaningless regular season games left and a meaningless Bowl left but, Brian Kelly has to get this program back on the right track.
