Losing your starting defensive tackles at any school will be tough to replace, but to lose Anthony Johnson and Ego Ferguson considering LSU’s top competition for the SEC west title, the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers feature a run-heavy offense and their top two-run stoppers are gone is a tough pill to swallow.

Christian LaCouture saw time as the third tackle after coming in as a highly-regarded recruit and will be expected to be the next in a long line of stud tackles at LSU. I like his potential and he has a leg up in his development after enrolling early last year and with Brick Haley coaching the defensive line, he has one of the best to coach him up.
