LSU Football: Ohio is already preparing for the re-arrival of Joe Burrow
By Zach Ragan
LSU football’s Joe Burrow is expected to be the top pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Joe Burrow left Ohio State to join the LSU football team, but he might be on his way back to the Buckeye State.
After having one of the greatest seasons ever in college football, Burrow is expected to be the top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Currently, the Cincinnati Bengals have the No. 1 selection.
One Cincinnati restaurant is so excited at the idea of Burrow returning to Ohio that they created a dish in honor of the Heisman Trophy winner.
And it has a cajun flair to it.
Burrow tried the steak this week at the Columbus location of the restaurant.
It almost seems like destiny that Burrow would return to Ohio, where he spent a large portion of his childhood (and the first couple of years of his college career).
Of course, there’s no guarantee that Burrow will end up playing for the Bengals in 2020.
While it’s not expected, it’s still possible that Cincinnati could trade the No. 1 overall pick.
Duke Tobin, the Bengals’ director of player personnel, recently said no decision has been made on how Cincinnati will proceed with the first overall pick. He left open the possibility of trading the pick, saying “I don’t know that any decision has been made for what we’re going to do in April. We’re early in the process.”
I’m sure the Bengals don’t want to show their hand this early in the process, and I imagine they want to keep an open mind, but I’d be shocked if Joe Burrow isn’t presented with a Cincinnati jersey on April 25 in Las Vegas.
