LSU Football: Power ranking the most stacked SEC head coaching lineup ever
By Zach Ragan
13. Eliah Drinkwitz — Missouri
I really wanted to put Eliah Drinkwitz at No. 14 on this list. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he was a head coach in 2019 at Appalachian State (and went 12-1).
For whatever reason, I just don’t think Drinkwitz is a good fit in the SEC. I feel like he’s destined to be an ACC coach at somewhere like Virginia or NC State.
Maybe I’ll be proved wrong, but I doubt it. Drinkwitz is entering the SEC East at the worst possible time. Vanderbilt is down on their luck, but all the other programs — except South Carolina, which is in a perpetual state of confusion — are on an upward trajectory.
I’d be shocked if Drinkwitz lasts longer than three years at Mizzou.
