LSU Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to be the first player selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Everyone knows LSU’s Joe Burrow is going to be the top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Especially now that he’s put to bed any talk of not wanting to play for the Cincinnati Bengals (the team with the first pick).

But the Bengals still have to do their due diligence on Burrow. That means meeting with him and making sure there are no crazy red flags present.

Burrow met with Cincinnati on Wednesday and the meeting reportedly went incredibly well. According to NFL reporter Jeff Darlington, the Bengals were “blown away” by Burrow.

Darlington noted that Cincinnati and Burrow never discussed whether or not he would play for the franchise (which he’s made clear he will), they just simply talked football.

And Burrow’s football knowledge was impressive.

According to Darlington, Burrow came across in the meeting like a “10 year vet”.

At this point, I don’t think there’s any doubt that Burrow is the best quarterback prospect we’ve seen since Andrew Luck.

In fact, I actually like Burrow a lot better than Luck. And it has nothing to do with his LSU connection.

Burrow and Luck are both extremely talented and smart quarterbacks. But Burrow has an edge to him that was absent with Luck. Burrow has swagger. And that absolutely matters in the NFL.

Next. Justin Jefferson silences the doubters. dark

The former LSU signal caller is going to be a stud in the NFL. He could legitimately change the entire trajectory of the Bengals franchise.
