Jamal Adams — New York Jets — Safety

Jamal Adams was the sixth overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Jets.

Since then, Adams has proved to be one of the top safeties in the NFL.

As a rookie, Adams compiled 83 total tackles. In 2018, Adams exploded for 115 tackles and 12 passes defensed.

The tackles went down for Adams in 2019 (mostly because he missed two games due to injury), but he still made a massive impact on the field. Adams set a career high this past season with 6.5 sacks. He also returned an interception for a touchdown.

Adams was elected to the Pro-Bowl in 2018 and 2019. He was also a first team All-Pro selection in 2019.

It doesn’t get much better than that for a safety in the NFL.
