LSU Football: Tigers could land elite brother duo from Virginia
By Zach Ragan
LSU football is hoping to land an elite brother duo from up north.
One of LSU football‘s top 2021 recruiting targets is five-star offensive lineman Tristan Leigh, the nation’s No. 3 rated offensive tackle (247Sports composite).
Leigh, 6-foot-5/270 lbs from Fairfax, VA (Robinson Secondary), recently included the Tigers in his top five schools, along with Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.
“When I went there (LSU), the game atmosphere was insane and the campus, I really liked it. The whole offensive line pretty much got drafted, and they are only on the way up,” said Leigh to 247Sports last month.
“They really care about more than the player. I definitely feel that. They care about your family and how they are doing,” added Leigh.
It certainly seems that LSU is a legitimate threat to land Leigh, who doesn’t have a timetable for his commitment.
The 2021 five-star offensive tackle isn’t the only Leigh the Tigers may be in the mix for, either. Leigh’s younger brother, Aidan, also recently received an offer from LSU.
Could LSU football land both halves of the elite brother duo?
Aidan Leigh, a 2023 offensive lineman, hasn’t been rated yet by the major recruiting services, but he already has the endorsement of his older brother.
“I do believe he’ll be better (than me). He’s way farther along skill-wise and the way he understands the game than I did as a rising sophomore,” said Tristan to Rivals this week.
Could the duo play together at LSU?
Possibly.
“Me and Aidan shared a great experience at LSU in our visit and we talked about how it could be a great destination for us possibly,” said Tristan in the same interview with Rivals.
The Tigers obviously have some stiff competition for the older Leigh. But if they’re able to convince him to head south to Baton Rouge, it could mean that a commitment from Aidan isn’t far behind.
