4. Ed Orgeron knows how to adapt

One of the big knocks early in Orgeron’s coaching career was his inability to adapt.

That’s one of the main reasons that Orgeron wasn’t successful at Ole Miss.

But over the years, Coach O learned that coaches who don’t adapt soon become ex-coaches.

College football is a sport that’s rich in tradition. However, that doesn’t mean that the on-field approach never changes. In fact, it’s ever-changing. Orgeron’s ability to adapt is why LSU was so successful in 2019. The Tigers took a fresh approach to their offense and it led to one of the most prolific offenses in college football history.

Orgeron is going to continue to adapt. He’s going to do whatever it takes to ensure that LSU is successful on the field. That’s a trait that not every coach has. Coach O, however, has it nailed.
