4. Glen Schumann — Georgia co-defensive coordinator

Georgia has one of the top defenses in the nation this season.

So why not try to steal one of their assistants?

Dan Lanning is the Bulldogs’ primary defensive coordinator. And he’s likely not going anywhere.

Co-defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach Glen Schumann, however, might be available.

Would you rather be a co-defensive coordinator at Georgia or be the defensive coordinator at LSU?

Easy choice, right?

Schumann is a tremendous recruiter (a top 10 recruiter according to 247Sports). And he’s learned from some of the best coaches in college football (he’s worked under Kirby Smart and Nick Saban).

The Tigers could certainly do a lot worse than a young up-and-coming defensive coordinator that already has some nice SEC experience.
