The top 3 most important games on LSU football’s schedule in 2021

2. LSU vs UCLA — September 4 (Pasadena)
If Ed Orgeron wants to prove that he fixed the issues that plagued the Tigers last season, he needs to start on September 4 against UCLA.
This is a matchup that LSU should win (WynnBET currently has the Tigers as a four-point favorite), but it’s far from an automatic win.
Chip Kelly’s offense started to find its groove in 2020, averaging 35 points per game, so this will be a legitimate test for the Tigers’ new defense.
Speaking of defense, UCLA isn’t bad on that side of the ball, either. The Bruins led the Pac-12 in sacks last season. And they were second in the conference in scoring defense.
This will be a tough game, but LSU is the more talented team. On paper, it’s a win for the Tigers.
