Urban Meyer — Jacksonville Jaguars head coach

This is the dream hire, right?

Regardless of what you think about Urban Meyer, the man wins championships and puts elite teams on the field.

Obviously, he wouldn’t be a long-term answer — he doesn’t seem to stay anywhere for more than a few years. But he could get the program on the right track and likely bring a championship to Louisiana in just a couple of years.

The big problem here is that Meyer is in his first year as the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach.

However, it seems like things in Jacksonville are already off to a rocky start. I’ve never been a believer in the Meyer/NFL experiment. And if it goes terribly this year (like I think it will), it’s possible he could quickly eye a return to college football (kinda like Nick Saban and the Miami Dolphins).

There wouldn’t be a better job available than the LSU job. I think part of Meyer has always wanted to return to the SEC. Getting the chance to go at Saban every year with elite talent would be an ideal situation for Meyer.
