Lane Kiffin at LSU would definitely be interesting.
Kiffin is one of the best offensive minds in the nation. And he currently has Ole Miss just outside the top 10 at No. 12.
I think Kiffin knows that winning a national championship at Ole Miss is next to impossible. He just can’t get the talent he needs in Oxford to compete with Alabama and Georgia on a yearly basis.
At LSU, however, he could.
But would LSU want to hire one of Orgeron’s buddies (Kiffin was set to be the offensive coordinator at LSU under Orgeron before taking the head coaching job at FAU)?
Kiffin would definitely leave Ole Miss for LSU. And he’d be an upgrade for the Tigers.
I’d say this would qualify as a splash hire.
