LSU Game Saturday: LSU vs. Ole Miss odds and prediction for college football week 8 game
By Zach Ragan
It’s easy to forget that LSU football has a game this weekend.
Saturday against Ole Miss will be the Tigers’ first game since the program announced that it will part ways with head coach Ed Orgeron after the 2021 season.
Orgeron is 9-8 since leading LSU to a 15-0 season in 2019. That’s not going to get it done in Baton Rouge. And that’s what ultimately led to this decision from the Tigers (along with some off-field issues for Orgeron).
The decision to part ways with Orgeron was made after LSU’s loss to Kentucky. Which means he knew he was out the door and still led the Tigers to an unexpected win against Florida last week.
That makes picking games for LSU even more difficult. But we’re still going to give it a shot.
LSU vs Ole Miss Odds Week 8
The latest odds from WynnBET have LSU at +10 (-120) and Ole Miss at -10 (+100). The moneyline has LSU at +280 and Ole Miss at -350. The over/under for this game is set at 75 (-110).
LSU vs Ole Miss Prediction Week 8
I’m going with Ole Miss to win this game outright, but I’m not sure they’ll cover.
LSU showed a dominant run game against Florida. With the Ole Miss run defense being suspect at best, I think this is a game where the Tigers could rack up some yards on the ground. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game turns out to be the shootout that everyone thought the Tennessee/Ole Miss game would be last week. I’m going with Ole Miss on the moneyline, but I’m taking LSU +10. I’m also taking the over in this game.
