3. The “shoe toss” against the Florida Gators

There weren’t many great moments for LSU during the 2020 season.

The entire season was basically a letdown after watching the Tigers win it all in 2019.

But there was at least one classic moment — the shoe toss against Florida.

This game looked like a loss for the Tigers. Florida appeared to force a punt late in the fourth quarter, which would’ve handed the Gators the ball back with a chance to win the game.

Instead, Florida defender Marco Wilson ripped off LSU tight end Kole Taylor’s shoe and threw it 20 yards down the field (we know it was 20 yards because the referee specifically said it was 20 yards).

LSU was awarded a first down on the penalty and six plays later, Cade York hit a 57-yard field goal to put the Tigers ahead with just 23 seconds to play.
