1. Winning the natty in 2019 with the best college football team of all time

Was there any doubt what the top moment on this list would be?

The 2019 season was magical. And it all happened on Ed Orgeron’s watch.

Quarterback Joe Burrow played out of his mind all season. Wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson dominated. Clyde Edwards-Helaire was a major problem to defend. It was a perfect season.

And it all started because Orgeron decided to steal Joe Brady away from the New Orleans Saints and give him a prominent role on the Tigers’ offensive coaching staff.

We’ll never see a team as dominant as the 2019 LSU team again — especially with parity via an expanded College Football Playoff likely coming soon.

Orgeron wasn’t able to repeat the success of 2019. But that was to be expected. No one can match what LSU did that season.

No one can ever take the 2019 season away from Orgeron and LSU fans. No one will ever match it, either.

And that’s why it was the best moment of the Coach O era.
