No. 5 – Jalen Milroe

Year: Sophomore

Team: Alabama Crimson Tide

2022 Passing Stats: 31 completions, 297 yards, 5 touchdowns

Jalen Milroe is no. 5 on our list because he is a dual-threat quarterback who is the likely starter for proven winners in Tuscaloosa. Yes, such a statement is gross but true.

Milroe offers the Crimson Tide an offensive dynamic similar to Jalen Hurts in 2019. However, the Katy (Tx.) product is the size of Julio Jones and has superior speed for a quarterback.

It’s no secret that Nick Saban is throwing his team back to the era where the ground-and-pound offensive approach ruled. Indeed, Milroe is the best option to lead such and will do well in the role. We also think Milroe will flash some improvement as a passer in 2023.
