No. 7 – Spencer Rattler

Year: Senior

Team: South Carolina Gamecocks

2022 Passing Stats: 264 completions, 3,026 yards, 18 touchdowns

A couple of years ago, Spencer Rattler’s name was associated with preseason Heisman Trophy hype at Oklahoma. Now, the Phoenix (Az.) product returns to South Carolina to finish his education and improve his NFL draft prospectus.

Rattler is in the right place with former Oklahoma assistant coach Shane Beamer in South Carolina. However, the 6-1, 217-pound signal-caller remains as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as a quarterback can come.

For example, Rattler followed up his 20.9 QBR performance in a loss to Florida with a 97.5 QBR performance in a win over Tennessee, last season.

The Gamecocks can make some noise in 2023, but Rattler needs more 2022 Tennessee game-like performances. He must also improve the 18-10 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
