LSU Football and Florida State clash for their second-straight Week 1 game in prime time. Find out what oddsmakers are saying regarding the likely winner.

No. 5 LSU Football will take on No. 8 Florida State this Sunday, September 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. CST. It is the second time in two years that the Tigers and Seminoles will clash at a neutral site in prime time. Last year, Florida State traveled to the Super Dome and eked out a 24-23 win.

LSU Football travels to Orlando this season to play the Noles at Camping World Stadium. With kickoff six days away, we did some digging to discover which team is favored to win the game and by how many points.

FanDuel favors LSU Football to beat Florida State

FanDuel lists the Tigers as -2.5 point favorites to beat the Seminoles on Sunday. Moreover, the sportsbook giant offers -114 odds that LSU will cover the spread.

The money line is set at -146 for LSU and +122 for FSU. FanDuel also lists that over/under at 57.5 (-110). The over/under is tempting, considering the teams posted 47 combined points in a sloppy Week 1 game in 2022.

LSU Football is much improved from a season ago, especially on offense, where Jayden Daniels appears poised to spend more time in the pocket. The Tigers’ offensive line will not have the same scatterbrained dynamic that plagued LSU’s offense against the Noles the first time around.

However, potential poor weather resulting from tropical storms is possible. We’re taking the under if rain turns Camping World Field into muck.

Caesar’s Sportsbook also favors LSU Football

Caesar’s also lists the Tigers as -2.5 point favorites to avenge their 2022 Week 1 loss against Mike Norvell and the Seminoles. However, Caesar’s odds that LSU covers the spread are slightly lower at -110.

The money line at Caesar’s Sportsbook is currently set at -140 for LSU and +118 for Florida State. Their over/under for the game  is set at 58 points with -110 odds to hit.

We don’t like the game’s betting lines as much at Caesar’s, especially the half-point difference in the over/under. We expect better from the Louisiana Super Dome’s corporate sponsor.

LSU Football is favored across to board

From what we see, all the major sportsbooks favor the Tigers to beat the Seminoles on Sunday night. Bet365, DraftKings, BetMGM, and PointsBet all reflect LSU as -2.5 point favorites.

Meanwhile, BetRivers and UniBet like Brian Kelly’s squad as -3 point favorites.

It will be interesting to see if the lines change as we draw closer to kick-off. Weather remains a factor, as is the potential for pre-game injuries. Knock on wood, LSU Football makes it through their first week of regular season practice without injury.

The Tigers are already down a vital player following Maason Smith’s ridiculous suspension.

Last season, per FanDuel, LSU Football was a -4.5 favorite with -110 odds to cover the spread
